Rusalka in Chamber - 20, 22, 24, 28 November

In this year of Czech music, 2024 the fairy tale based opera, 'Rusalka' presents a wonderful opportunity for audience and artists alike to explore the most popular opera in the Czech tradition, by the Czech Republic's most beloved composer, Antonin Dvorak. 'Rusalka' the story of a water nymph who falls in love with a human,  is full of melody, folk themes and rhythms. It features of course, THAT aria, 'Song to the Moon' made famous by Renee Fleming.  At first glance it is a fairy story, but below the surface, 'Rusalka' develops eternal human themes such overwhelming desire, in an opera that could be subtitled 'be careful what you wish for!'
